EricK J. Figueras, DMA    choral director - educator - vocalist


Dr. Erick J. Figueras has performed professionally with the

New York Philharmonic, The American Symphony Orchestra, The Greenleaf Chamber Players, The Concert Chorale of New York and The New York Choral Artists in choral concerts at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and throughout Europe. His career highlight is the New York Philharmonic 9/11 Benefit Concert (Brahms' Ein deutches Requiem).

Erick earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the Conservatory of Music at the State University of New York at Purchase where he composed the songs for his senior recital. Later he received a Masters in Music Education from Manhattanville College, NY. Erick also holds a DMA in Music Education from Boston University.

In addition to his singing and teaching, Erick directs church and community choirs, and presents at conferences and professional development sessions.

Dr. Figueras has taught all levels and areas of music over a 18 year career.  His ensembles and solosits have won numerous awards and have performed across the East Coast, Europe, and the Caribbean.

Research interests include teacher stress and arts integration.
